Indian Premier League 2018 auction is getting intense with every set of players. Yesterday, the likes of Chris Gayle and Joe Root went sold while KL Rahul fetched 11 crores. Franchises certainly looked purposeful with their choices.

Here’s how the uncapped batsmen have fared in the second day’s IPL auction:

Anmolpreet Singh

None of the eight IPL franchises showed any interest to bid for the 19-year-old uncapped batsman Anmolpreet Singh. He had thrown his hat into the auction ring with a base price of 20 lakhs.

Apoorv Wankhade

Maharashtra batsman Apoorv Wankhade, who entered into the auction with a base price of 20 lakhs, got grabbed by the two times IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders in the same amount.

Rinku Singh

20-year-old Rinku Singh goes to KKR for 80 Lakh, four times more than his base price. KKR have certainly got a good pool of batsmen now. Defending champions Mumbai Indians have also bid for Rinku, but later they backed out.

Sachin Baby

Sachin Baby, who has represented Royal Challengers Bangalore in the preceding IPL seasons, is bagged by 2016 IPL champs Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 20 Lakhs. The left-handed entered into the auction with the same base price in which SRH have fetched him.

Manjot Kalra

Currently playing in the Under-19 World Cup, opening batsman Manjot Kalra will represent Delhi Daredevils in the next edition of IPL. The southpaw set his base price of INR 20 lakhs while entering into the auction and DD grabbed him by expending the same amount.
