The intense bidding war on some of world’s cricket renowned names has taken the cricketing fraternity by storm in the ongoing IPL auction. From Dale Steyn and Corey Anderson going unsold to Jaydev Unadkat fetching 11.50 crores, franchises look purposeful with their picks.

Here’s how the capped spinners have fared in the second round of IPL auction 2018:

Mujeeb Zadran

Afghanistan off-spinner Mujeeb Zadran will play for Kings XI Punjab in the next edition of Indian Premier League. He entered into the auction with a base price of INR 50 lakhs and KXIP expend 4 crores to secure him.

Nathan Lyon

Australia’s seasoned off-spinner Nathan Lyon went unsold in IPL auction. The 30-year-old has thrown his hat into the auction ring with a base price of INR 1.5 crores.

Fawad Ahmed

Australian spinner Fawad Ahmed also went unsold. He had no prior experience of playing in the IPL and none of the franchises showed interest in him. Fawad’s base price was INR 50 lakhs.

Pragyan Ojha

India’s left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha went unsold in the IPL Auction. Ojha has previously played for team like Deccan Chargers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians.

His performance wasn't up to the mark in the recently concluded domestic season and that’s probably the biggest reason why none of the teams showed interest in him.

Tabraiz Shamsi

South Africa’s left-arm chinaman, Tabraiz Shamsi, who has previously represented Royal Challengers Bangalore in the cash-rich league didn’t manage to attract any franchise on this occasion. The 27-year-old entered into the auction with a base price of INR 50 lakhs.
