Veteran Indian all-rounder –Yuvraj Singh, who earlier made the headlines in the past seasons of the Indian Premier League (IPL)after playing for Rs 14 crore in 2014 (RCB), Rs 16 crore in 2015 (DD), failed to attract the owners too much this season because of his failure at both national and international level.

Even in 2016, Yuvraj was roped in by Sunrisers Hyderabad at RS 7 crore and became the highest paid Indian in the IPL Auction 2016.

This time around, his poor form affected his value in the ongoing IPL Auction 2018 in Bangalore, as the all-rounder was sold at his base price Rs 2 crore to Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).

The 36-year-old all-rounder made his return to the KXIP for the upcoming 11th edition of the T20 league, and franchise Co-owner Preity Zinta could not contain her excitement at the return of Yuvraj, and went on Twitter to express her excitement, “Yesssssss! @YUVSTRONG12 is back home at @lionsdenkxip and I cannot be happier ???? #LivePunjabiPlayPunjabi #VivoIPLAuction #BalleBalle????”

Meanwhile, the franchise also welcome the Punjab batsman with a wonderful tweet, “A legend is making is way home! @YUVSTRONG12 is a lion once again as we get him for his base price of 2 crores! Welcome back home paaji! #LivePunjabiPlayPunjabi #IPLAuction”
