IPL 2018: Yusuf Pathan excited to be part of the Orange Army

Indian all-rounder –Yusuf Pathan has been an integral part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) since its inaugural season of the worthwhile T20 league in the cricket-crazy nation.

Pathan, who made his IPL debut with Rajasthan Royal (RR), has been wearing different jerseys since in 2008, but represented Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the last seven years.

The 35-year-old Baroda all-rounder, who is considered as one of the best players of the T20 tournament, has scored 2847 IPL runs at an average of 30.94. He has also a record of the fastest 50 in IPL history, scoring in a mere 15 balls in May 2017 for KKR.

Pathan who was part of the KKR family in their two IPL triumphs, will now part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the upcoming 11th edition of the Indian T20 league 2018.

Actually, things changed during today’s IPL Auction 2018 in Bangalore, when KKR refused to use RTM card for their premier all-rounder and gave SRH a chance to buy Pathan for Rs 1.9 crore.

On his official Twitter handle, Pathan expressed his delight to be now part of the Orange Army, as well as, expressed his gratitude for the KKR, saying his journey with Kolkata for the last 7 years was “Lovely”.

His post reads, “It was a lovely journey with Kolkata for the last 7 years, would like to thank them for everything. I am looking forward to the upcoming season of the IPL and really excited to be a part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad now,”
