The Day one of IPL 2018 auction started today in Bengaluru and it saw all the officials, mentors and coaches of all the eight teams present in the auction. This year's auction will see teams having an increased budget of Rs 80 crore from previous Rs 66 crore.

Here is the summary of first set of marquee players:

1. Shikhar Dhawan
Sunrisers Hyderabad used RTM card to retain him for 5.20 crores

2. R Ashwin
Sold to Kings XI Punjab for 7.60 crores

3. Kieron Pollard
Mumbai Indians used RTM card to retain him for 5.40 crores

4. Chris Gayle: Unsold

Sold to Rajasthan Royals for 12.50 crores

6. Faf du Plessis
Chennai Super Kings used RTM to retain him for 1.60 crores

7. Ajinkya Rahane
Rajasthan Royals used RTM card to retain him for 4 crores

8. Mitchell Starc
Sold to Kolkata Knight Riders for 9.40 crores

Starc will play for KXIP in IPL 2018

9. Harbhajan Singh
Sold to Chennai Super Kings for 2 crores

10. Shakib-Al-Hasan
Sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for 2 crores

11. Glenn Maxwell
Sold to Delhi Daredevils for 9 crores

12. Gautam Gambhir
Sold to Delhi daredevils for 2.80 crores

13. Dwayne Bravo
Chennai Super Kings used the RTM card to retain him for 6.40 crores

14. Kane Williamson
Sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for 3 crores

15. Joe Root : Unsold

16. Yuvraj Singh
Sold to Kings XI Punjab for 2 crores
