Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) decided not to retain their captain Gautam Gambhir for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) auction. The veteran cricketer says he has no hard feelings as the KKR team management still shares a good relationship with him. Gambhir had changed the fate of KKR and led them to a couple of IPL titles.

Talking to Times of India, when asked if he is hurt that he was not retained as captain by KKR? "As a cricketer, you have more bad days than good ones," Gambhir said.

The veteran cricketer also added that he respects KKR management's decision. Gambhir respects their point of view.

"I have learnt to handle reversals. I respect the decision that KKR management took and I share a super relationship with them. The communication was seamless and absolutely transparent between us. They had a point of view which was backed by solid rationale and I took that on board. So no hard feelings."

He was also asked about handling the pressure of the auction. Gambhir was very honest about it. He might miss the auction because of traveling or might be watching his daughter's favorite cartoon.

"I may be on the flight back to Delhi on January 27 when my name comes up for auction. Or I may already be home depending on our result of tomorrow's Mushtaq Ali game. If I am home I don't think my little one Aazeen will let me watch anything except our favorite Doraemon cartoon series. We both absolutely love it and who knows Doraemon has a gadget which can give me a fantastic auction!!!"
