The countdown to IPL 2018 has already started with the IPL retentions. Interestingly it the event was also broadcasted live where all the franchises spoke about the players retained for the next season.

The next big date is January 27 and 28, the auctions for the prestigious eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League. All the franchises will try to find the right combination and balance and so will be Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Sunrisers Hyderabad has already retained their Captain David Warner who had remarkable IPL 2017 and their bowling specialist Bhuvneshwar Kumar for the upcoming IPL tournament that is likely to take place in between April and May.
Hyderabad will come with planning to the auction ceremony as they have already one IPL trophy to their name. They had won their first IPL in 2016 beating Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final.

With all the players up for auctions, Team Circle of Cricket gets to jot down a list of players which the franchise can aim to buy in the upcoming auctions.

Karun Nair

Karun Nair who has played more than 55 IPL matches would be the top choice of Sunrisers Hyderabad as he is been performing well at domestic level with scoring runs. Till IPL 2017 Karun Nair was associated with Delhi Daredevils but unfortunately the latter was released by the team. SRH would surely like to buy him for the tournament as he adds a slice of the local player who has performed well in recent past.

Shikhar Dhawan
How can SRH miss out on their second highest run scorer in IPL and David Warner's opening partner who has so many times played match-winning knocks for the team? If they will use their second right to match card on him then they will have their top order sorted and even Laxman has enough faith in Shikhar's batting that can make his return to the team easily. Shikhar  Dhawan is an explosive player that can change any game on his day so SRH would love to take him back.

Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan
The youngest player in SRH team unit will also get some back up from them. He is number 3 in the all-rounder rankings. In the previous edition of IPL, Rashid retrieved the highest bid for any Associate nation player ever, eventually having been bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 4 crore. A very talented cricketer who knows his role in the team and what team requires from him. He will be a must buy for SRH, they might rope him back after using their last RTM card.

Joe Root
Joe Root is all set to mark his first presence in Indian Premier League, he will take part in auctions that are supposed to take part on 27 and 28 January. Given the fact, Joe Root is already leading England in the Test so it will be interesting to see how he plays under David Warner because Sunrisers will definitely plan out to buy Joe Root for his exceptional batting skills at International level.

Mitchell Johnson
The left arm pacer who bowled brilliantly in the previous IPL final for Mumbai Indians would be on SRH's eye for the upcoming IPL auction 2018. He had a great last domestic season with also performing well for Perth Scorchers in BBL 2018 with an economy less than 7 runs per over. Sunrisers will have a deep thought over Johnson's selection because such good bowler is hard to find these days.

Sunrisers would like to continue with their good form in IPL and will hope they can keep up with their fan's expectation in this IPL season. They have had enough good opportunities just they have to capitalize and hold on their moments.

Hopefully, they will win this IPL too with the above-mentioned players play a role in that.
