IPL 2022: 'MI, CSK fans will also be proud to see RCB do well'- Dinesh Karthik ahead of Eliminator v LSG

RCB to play LSG in IPL 2022 Eliminator.

Dinesh Karthik | RCB TwitterRoyal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) keeper-batter Dinesh Karthik has said that the Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans will be happy to see RCB making the most of the opportunity they got as they gear up for the IPL 2022 Eliminator against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

RCB and LSG will clash on May 25, 2022, at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Wednesday, May 25 in the Eliminator of IPL 2022. This was due to MI defeating Delhi Capitals (DC) in their last league match, enabling RCB to sneak into the final four.

"We all felt like what it's to be fans of RCB and the fans of MI actually. For us, to have that journey and have fun, like Faf (du Plessis) said, that stage is over. Today, we start a new tournament. We have to do well in the next 3 games," Karthik told RCB ahead of their Eliminator.

"If you have gone through a journey like we had, we won 5 out of the first 7 games. it looked like we will get through to the playoffs, but it became tougher and tougher with every passing match. Still, to fight through it, play the No. 1 team, beat them and wait for a result to happen our way. So it's a great tournament, it's a great emotional roller-coaster. We have come through to the positive side of it, we have come to the playoffs, and it's a great thing,” he added.

We should go out there and do the best we can and make sure we put a smile on every RCB fan. Mumbai Indians and CSK fans also will be really proud to see us there,” Karthik said.

Lovingly known as DK, the keeper-batter has amassed 287 runs in 14 matches, striking at a staggering rate of 191 as he has aced the role of a finisher. Thanks to his performance, Karthik was recalled in the Indian team for the upcoming South Africa T20I series after an absence of 3 years.
