Delhi Capitals (DC) had an amazing outing against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 41st match of the IPL 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium as the Rishabh Pant-led side made it 2-0 against Shreyas Iyer’s men in this edition of IPL.
After being asked to bat first by DC captain Rishabh Pant, who won the toss, KKR managed to put just 146/9 on the board that too thanks to Nitish Rana’s 57 and Shreyas Iyer’s 42. For DC, it was once against Kuldeep Yadav who picked 4/14 in his 3 overs, while Mustafizur Rahman took 3/18 in his 4 overs.

The chase, which seemed a simple one, was made difficult for DC by KKR, as they picked wickets at opportune times. Prithvi Shaw got out on the first ball, caught and bowled by Umesh Yadav and then Mitchell Marsh became the first IPL victim of Harshit Rana, the debutant KKR pacer.
But David Warner made 42 and contributions from Lalit Yadav (22), Rovman Powell (33*), and Akshar Patel (24) helped DC reach the target with one over to spare and four wickets in hand and pocketed 2 points.
Umesh Yadav was the outstanding KKR bowler with figures of 3/24. Kuldeep Yadav was awarded the Player of the Match for his 4/14. This was his fourth Player of the Match award this season and second against KKR.
8th place KKR now has 3 wins from 9 matches and DC has 4 wins from 4 matches and is on 6th spot in the IPL 2022 points table.
