Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bowler Shardul Thakur introduced himself as 'Lord Shardul' and called his teammate 'Sir' Ravindra Jadeja in a chat after the win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Both of their names got famous on the internet for turning the match from any situation.

While 'Sir Jadeja' used to trend on social media in 2013-14, netizens have now started the memes around 'Lord Shardul'. When Shardul called Jadeja 'Sir' in the interview, the all-rounder jokingly made a gesture of slapping him.

Shardul then soon referred to himself as 'Lord' and Jadeja couldn't control his laughter. “We have Sir Ravindra Jadeja in front of us and I am Lord Shardul Thakur,” he said before talking about their performance in the match.

Shardul was at his best against KKR as he picked up two wickets for only 20 runs in four overs. He took the prized scalp of Andre Russell and the in-form batter Venkatesh Iyer.

The Player of the Match was Jadeja who also bowled an economical spell and picked up 1/21. But what made him the top contender for the award was his cameo in the run-chase.

"Pressure was there. We are playing T20 cricket after a long time and the situation was a tough one, I just thought about backing my game and if the ball is there in my areas, I will go for it. Only one run came in the first two balls, but I knew that Prasidh would go for a slower one or wide yorker looking at the field. I just backed my strengths and went for it," Jadeja said in the video.

CSK's well-set batters were already dismissed when they came close to the target in death overs and they even lost MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina in the 18th over.

Jadeja, coming in at number 7, scored 22 runs off 8 balls when CSK needed 26 runs in the last two overs. Shardul scored three runs, while Deepak Chahar hit the winning run in the final over when they needed 4 runs against Sunil Narine.

"I just told Deepak Chahar that as a right-handed batsman, Sunil Narine would bowl a leg-spin delivery, hopefully, he connected and we were able to win the match," Jadeja added.
