Shubman Gill has given a befitting reply to a social media user, who tried to troll him for his style of play in the comments section of post by the cricketer’s IPL team – Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Gill, who has represented India in 7 Tests and 3 ODIs so far, had come under the scanner for his slow strike-rate (117.96) during the last year’s IPL in UAE.

In fact, netizens had joked that Gill's selection in the Indian Test team was based on his slow batting approach in the IPL 2020.

On Monday (April 5), KKR uploaded picture of Shubman Gill on Instagram with the caption: “High Elbow, Straight Bat, Picture Perfect!”

To which, a user commented: “just imagine, based on IPL performance, gill was given a slot in the test team (not T20) this only goes to show how much tuk tuk he did last szn.”

In reply, Gill wrote: "i am right where i want to be Mr. NOBODY."

Gill made his much-awaited Test debut against Australia at MCG last year and left a lasting impression on everyone with his technique and strokeplay. He played 6 innings during the Test series Down Under, amassing 259 runs at an impressive average of 51.80, including two half-centuries.

The right-hander, however, failed to live up to the expectations in the home Test series against England, scoring just one fifty from seven innings.
