Virat Kohli has been facing a drought of centuries in international cricket for the last two years as his last century came in India's inaugural Day/Night Test against Bangladesh back in 2019.

Even though Kohli looked good in the recent series against Australia and England, he has not been able to get to the three-figure mark.

With the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) less than a week away, Saba Karim answered what Virat Kohli will want from this year's IPL- winning the trophy or ending his tournament drought.

If you ask Virat Kohli about what he wants from this IPL, whether he wants to score a century or if wants RCB to be the champion, I feel Virat Kohli will definitely say that his dream is for RCB to be the champions and he has a significant contribution in that,” he said.

Karim then went on to add that hitting a century or not won’t make a difference by saying, “I don't think whether he scores a century or not will make a difference to Virat Kohli's career. Yes, the difference will be made if Virat Kohli grabs the elusive IPL trophy.

Kohli faced difficulties against spinners in the England series and will be tested on spinning wickets in the IPL 2021 opener at Chennai.

It (playing on spin-friendly tracks in Chennai) will definitely be challenging, but the good thing is that Virat has decided to open the batting. It will be a very big opportunity for him to post a big score," said Karim during a discussion on India News.

The 32-year-old will lead Royal Challengers Bangalore against the defending champions Mumbai Indians on 9 April in Chennai.
