Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Delhi by 88 runs at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai and registered their fifth win of this season while Delhi Capitals lost their fifth match of this IPL.

Earlier Delhi Capitals won the toss and opted to bowl first. Hyderabad opener David Warner and Wriddhiman Saha gave a flying start to their team and added 77 runs without any loss in the power play. David Warner brought up his 50 in just 25 balls.

R Ashwin broke their 107 runs stand by removing David Warner for 66 runs. Wriddhiman Saha also brought up his fifty and continued to play big shots and his 87 off 45 balls knock set the platform for a big score and in the end, Manish Pandey's 44* runs knock helped Sunrisers Hyderabad to post a big total of 219/2 in 20 overs.

In reply, Delhi Capitals had a poor start and lost in form Shikhar Dhawan for a duck and Marcus Stoinis for 5 runs. Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant tried to rebuild the innings but they didn't last long as Rahane got out to Rashid Khan's bowling. Shimron Hetmyer and captain Shreyas Iyer also got out cheaply. In the end, Pant played some shots but he too couldn't do much and got out for 36 runs and eventually, Delhi Capitals bowled out for 131 runs in 19 overs and lost the match by 88 runs.
