With the ankle injury suffered on Monday (September 20) against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) turning out to be "serious", Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) all-rounder Mitchell Marsh is likely to be ruled out of the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, a team source close to the developments told PTI.
In the first half, the Australian was given the fifth over by skipper David Warner, but he could only bowl the first four deliveries.

The 28-year-old, whose career has been plagued with untimely injuries, twisted his ankle on the second ball of the over while trying to save a drive by RCB opener Aaron Finch. After somehow managing two more balls, Marsh limped off the field with the team physio.
“It seems a serious injury. I am not sure if he be able to compete in any of the matches," a team source said on Marsh, who bravely came out at No.10 in the later stages with SRH running out of batsmen in their eventually unsuccessful run-chase.
There is no official comment on the extent of the injury, but SRH could rope in a like-for-like replacement to Marsh. The team "may now consider bringing in 37-year-old Dan Christian, who has the experience of playing 40 IPL games during previous editions as a middle-order batsman and a right-arm seamer," said the PTI report.
The 2016 winners also boast of an outstanding T20 spin bowling all-rounder in Mohammad Nabi, who didn't make the playing XI for the campaign opener.
Warner said Marsh's injury didn't look good at all and it was quite courageous of him to come out to bat at the end.
"It doesn’t look great. A lot of courage from him to walk out there and try his best, but it was unfortunate tonight," he told Star Sports. "Obviously, what you saw out there, it was quite painful, he can’t put any weight on it."
