IPL 2020: BCCI releases complete fixtures for the league stage

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday (February 18) announced the fixtures for the league stage of Indian Premier League (IPL) season 2020.

The cash-rich event will start on March 29 with the opening game to be played between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium while the final will be held on May 24.

Earlier, it was reported that IPL has done away with the Saturday double-headers for the 13th edition and the BCCI also confirmed the same.

“For the first time, the season will comprise only 6 afternoon games and the tournament will span for a duration of 57 days,” the board said in a media release.

The last match of the league phase is scheduled to be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians at the Chinnaswamy stadium on May 17.
