IPL 2020: Royal Challengers Bangalore unveil their jersey for the upcoming season

RCB also released their new logo on Friday.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) chose Valentine's Day (February 14) to release their redesigned logo and their new jersey for the upcoming IPL 2020 season.

RCB had been building up for the changes since few days, after they removed their profile picture from all social media accounts with several of their players including captain Virat Kohli quering the franchise on what is happening.

The club said the new logo design which has a lion in it "embodies the bold and fearless attitude" of the side.

Addressing the media on the launch of new visual identity, Sanjeev Churiwala, RCB chairman, said: “The elements in the logo is a commitment to continuously entertain and engage with fans who are the force behind Royal Challengers Bangalore.”

"We believe a change in identity for the club was necessary to effectively live and breathe this vision and celebrate the passion for cricket and playing bold," he added.

Later in the day, the franchise also revealed their new jersey and also welcomed Muthoot group as their new title sponsor. They wrote, "Presenting to you, the RCB Jersey design for Vivo IPL 2020. We are excited to welcome @MuthootIndia as our title sponsor. #PlayBold #NewDecadeNewRCB"
