Bollywood star and Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Shah Rukh Khan interacted with fans on Twitter. The chat session '#AskSRK' saw a question on KKR's future as well. A fan wanted to know if the budding cricketer Shubman Gill can be captain of the squad in upcoming IPL seasons?

SRK didn't ignore the question. He responded to the fan and came up with a funny reply. "As soon as KKR makes you the Head Coach my friend," was Shah Rukh's response.

The last IPL season wasn't a good one for the SRK co-owned franchise. They failed to make it to the top four. A lot of fingers were raised on Dinesh Karthik's captaincy in the tournament.

There were expectations that the franchise will replace Karthik with someone else for the captaincy after the auction. But they have not hinted anything yet. In fact, there are chances that KKR may persist with Karthik despite England captain Eoin Morgan in the squad.

“Dinesh is definitely our captain. We wanted to get as much experienced leadership as possible and Eoin Morgan is one of the very best leaders going around currently in our game,” KKR’s new head coach Brendon McCullum told reporters during the IPL auction.

“A perfect lieutenant for Dinesh Karthik and he (Morgan) will also fill the gap at No.4. He is in the form of his life. He is going to be a fine asset coming back to KKR,” he further added.
