Ahead of the highly-anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 auction, slated to be held in Kolkata on December 19, a fan told Neesham on Twitter that 2016 IPL champions Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) might bid for him in the auction.

During a Question-Answer session on Twitter, Neesham mentioned 'IPL auction is unpredictable' and hence he can’t comment whether he will be picked or not. However, a fan explained why SRH might rope him in for the next edition of the cash-rich league.

“Kane is the captain of Hyderabad. And, they don't have a middle-order LH batsman who can hit sixes. So,...” the fan wrote.

In his reply, Neesham used a hilarious GIF stating: “So you’re telling me there’s a chance.”

Jimmy Neesham hasn’t featured in an IPL game since 2014. He has played only four matches in the T20 competition for Delhi Daredevils.
