Last week, Delhi Capitals traded Karnataka spinner Jagadeesha Suchith for Ashwin for the next edition of Indian Premier League.

In the last two IPL seasons, Ashwin represented KXIP in 28 games, claiming 25 wickets but the franchise couldn’t qualify to the play-offs under his captaincy.

Before leading Punjab, Ashwin has also played for Rising Pune Supergiants. However, he made a name for himself by producing stellar performances for CSK from 2009 to 2015.

Ashwin won two consecutive IPL titles with Chennai in 2010 and 2011 and he picked up 13 and 20 wickets respectively in each season.
