IPL 2020: Amid of retirement rumors, Srinivasan comments on MS Dhoni's future with CSK

Dhoni hasn't featured in a single competitive cricket match since World Cup 2019.

Social media was once again stuck with questions over MS Dhoni's future when current Indian captain Virat Kohli posted a tweet tagging him. It created a hoax of Dhoni's retirement as the timing of the post had no context.

Later, Kohli cleared in the press conference that he had nothing in his mind while posting the tweet. He simply tweeted it without overthinking and had no idea it could be blown out of proportion.

He also said it's entirely Dhoni's decision whether to play or bid adieu. "When you decide to stop playing is an absolutely individual thing, and no one else should have an opinion on it, that's what I think. As long as he is available and continues to play, he is going to be very very valuable," he said.

The former BCCI President N Srinivasan, who is the managing director of India Cements (which owns CSK franchise of IPL) also commented on Dhoni's future with Chennai Super Kings.

"I can say only one thing. Mahendra Singh Dhoni will only be the captain for the next IPL Chennai Super Kings next season," Srinivasan told Times Now.

Chennai Super Kings had won the IPL in 2018 but lost to Mumbai Indians in the finals of 2019 edition.
