Former Australia wicketkeeper Brad Haddin will return to the Indian Premier League, this time as an assistant coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad. The franchise announced the new signing on Twitter.

Haddin has been a part of the IPL in its previous editions as a player for the Kolkata Knight Riders. He has played just a single game and will now have a bigger role in the tournament.

He will be an assistant coach to the newly appointed head coach Trevor Bayliss. Haddin has previously worked with Bayliss while playing for Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League. The former was the skipper and the latter was the head coach even then. The Sixers won under them in 2012.

Haddin also has some coaching experience behind him as he has been with the Australian team as an assistant coach since 2017.

Sunrisers Hyderabad announced the news on their Twitter handle:

Brad Haddin retired from international cricket in 2015 after scoring 3789 international runs for Australia across formats.
