The eliminator match of the IPL 2019 will see Delhi Capitals face off against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam. Capitals have made it to the playoffs after 2012, while SRH sneaked in thanks to KKR losing to MI in the last league match at the Wankhede Stadium.

The Delhi Capitals team won their final league match at home against Rajasthan Royals. They will mostly look to go in the eliminator with mostly the same team, given that the dew problem in the coastal city prohibits them from playing another spinner to help Akshar and Mishra. Though Prithvi Shaw has played just one inning of note, a 99, Shikhar Dhawan has found form in the second half and with Iyer already having runs under his belt, DC look set to make it into the second qualifier.

The Rishabh Pant factor will also hang over the match, given his penchant for getting out whenever not necessary. They have found a brilliant finisher in Sherfane Rutherford and with Amit Mishra getting his wrist spin going, SRH will be going to find some stiff competition.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad somehow managed to get in the top four and they have MI to thank for. Though they lost their last league game against RCB in Bengaluru, they had won at home and have a team that is going very well. Their only problem is their two best bowlers Siddharth Kaul and Sandeep Sharma had an offseason and that meant Khaleel Ahmed and Basil Thampi got chances and they clinched them with spirited performances, especially Khaleel. They will hope that Guptill and Saha give them a flying start with the likes of Nabi, Pandey, and Williamson to follow.

The match is expected to be a thriller that will be played on an unknown surface and alien condition with respect to this season of IPL, which has not hosted any match in Vizag.
