Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 4 wickets at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore and finished their disappointing IPL 2019 season with a win.

Earlier after being asked to bat first, Sunrisers Hyderabad's openers Wriddhiman Saha and Martin Guptill gave a good start of 46 runs in 4 overs. Navdeep Saini removed Saha and broke this stand. Later Washington Sundar sent Guptill and Manish Pandey back to the pavilion in the same over and reduced Sunrisers to 61/3 in the 8th over.

Kane Williamson and Vijay Shankar's 45 runs partnership rebuilt the innings but Sundar once again broke the stand and removed Vijay Shankar. Yusuf Pathan also got out cheaply off Chahal's bowling and Nabi too couldn't last longer and Sunrisers were reduced to 137/6 in 17 overs. Captain Kane Williamson was set in the last over as he smashed Umesh Yadav for 28 runs and helped Sunrisers to post a fighting total of 175/7. Kane Williamson scored 70* runs off 43 balls.

In reply, Royal Challengers Bangalore also had a poor start and lost inform Parthiv Patel for duck in the first over. Virat Kohli hit a few boundaries but he couldn't convert it into a big innings and got out off Khaleel's bowling. In the next over Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissed AB de Villiers for just one run and at 20/3 Bangalore were in deep trouble.

Shimron Hetmyer and Gurkeerat Mann took the charge to rebuild the innings and both continued to play their shots and their record 144 runs partnership for the 4th wicket set the match for Bangalore. Both the batsmen also brought up their fifties. In the end they got out but the job was already done. Umesh Yadav scored the winning runs and helped Bangalore to finish their season on a winning note.
