IPL 2019: Match 47, KKR v MI - COC Predicted Playing XIs

MI and KKR play each other twice in their last three matches.

Rohit Sharma has found some form with the bat | IANSThe 47th match of the IPL 2019 will see Kolkata Knight Riders take on Mumbai Indians at the Eden Gardens, in Kolkata in a do or die match for them. KKR have lost six matches on the trot and a loss here might further complicate things for them in terms of playoffs qualification. MI just need a win or two to confirm their qualification.

Mumbai Indians have effectively turned their fortunes around with wins in their last few matches, including two wins over Chennai Super Kings and have 7 wins in 11 matches and just two more wins in their remaining three matches will ensure a top-two finish in the points table. This match which will be played in Eden Gardens, on a fast pitch and might entice the MI team management to bring in an extra seamer in probably J&K’s Rasikh Salam Dar.

Their batting has been bolstered with the addition of Evin Lewis to the mix giving them the option to score aggressively in middle overs as well. Rohit Sharma found some form with a fifty against CSK and the Pandya brothers have been firing for them nicely.

Dinesh Karthik has been under pressure with team losing six straight matches | IANSAndre Russell has already termed the atmosphere in KKR camp unhealthy and this will be on the team management’s mind. He mentioned that KKR was a good team making bad decisions including picking the playing XI. This time, however, its time to keep the differences aside and strive to win in an important match. With KKR’s experiment with Yarra Prithvi Raj failing, it might be the best time to bring in Kuldeep Yadav, who has seemingly forgotten his ordeal in his last game and moved on.

KKR needs to win this match to stay in the race of playoffs, or they are out of the race of playoffs.

Kolkata Knight Riders Predicted Playing XI:
Chris Lynn, Sunil Narine, Shubman Gill, Robin Uthappa, Nitish Rana, Dinesh Karthik, Andre Russell, Carlos Brathwaite, Piyush Chawla, Kuldeep Yadav, M Prasidh Krishna
