IPL 2019: Match 43, KKR v RR – COC Predicted Playing XIs

Both RR and KKR need to win this match to stay alive in the competition.

Matt Kelly may make his IPL 2019 debut | GettyThe 43rd match of the IPL 2019 will see Kolkata Knight Riders take on Rajasthan Royals at the Eden Gardens in what is a must-win match for both the teams. Both KKR and RR are on a losing streak and need to win every match from here on to have the slim chance of making it to the playoffs.

Kolkata Knight Riders have been solely dependent on Andre Russell to do the honors with the bat and that has been their downfall. Their middle order of experienced batsmen like Robin Uthappa and Dinesh Karthik has not clicked while Nitish Rana and Shubman Gill are the only other to shine with the bat. Bowling wise, failure of their spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Piyush Chawla have brought them in a very hard position where they need to win all the remaining matches.

They need a fresh lineup and bringing in Matt Kelly in will help them a lot. They might also want to give Yarra Prithvi Raj another chance to impress, as Prasidh Krishna was leaking runs right, left and center. They can only hope that Russell takes the charge once again and leads them to the win, once again.

Archer and Stokes will be playing their last game for RR team in IPL 2019 | IANSRajasthan Royals are left holding the wooden spoon as RCB have suddenly started winning matches. RR never got going from the start. Meanwhile they have changed the leadership midway into the season, but still, with their weak fast bowling lineup has caused them to implode badly, even losing home games. Two of their batsmen’s centuries have come in losing cause and though they have had some good bowling from Jofra Archer, Indian bowlers like Jaydev Unadkat, Dhawal Kulkarni and others have failed to support him.

This is probably the last match for England’s Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes for the RR team in IPL 2019 and they might want to leave with a win under their belt.

Kolkata Knight Riders Predicted Playing XI:

Sunil Narine, Chris Lynn, Shubman Gill, Nitish Rana, Rinku Singh, Dinesh Karthik (C&WK), Andre Russell, Piyush Chawla, Kuldeep Yadav, Matt Kelly, Yarra Prithvi Raj

Rajasthan Royals Predicted Playing XI:

Ajinkya Rahane, Sanju Samson (WK), Steve Smith (C), Ashton Turner, Ben Stokes, Riyan Parag, Stuart Binny, Shreyas Gopal, Jaydev Unadkat, Varun Aaron, Jofra Archer
