IPL 2019: Match 43- KKR v RR - Royals bowl first at Eden Gardens

Both KKR and RR need to win all of their remaining matches to make it to the playoffs.

Andre Russell is the heart of KKR batting | IANSThe 43rd match of the IPL 2019 will see Kolkata Knight Riders host Rajasthan Royals at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Both the teams are on a losing streak with KKR winning 4 out of 10 matches and RR winning just 3, and are on the last spot in the points table.

Dinesh Karthik-led team has been on a losing streak which doesn’t seem to break anytime soon. Their batting has faltered and so has their bowling attack as well. The KKR team has failed to win matches at their home itself, which was considered to be their fortress and the Purple Army is left with the task of winning all the four remaining matches to get into the final four. Indifferent batting form throughout the batting order has not done anything to buoy the team and they are looking down at the barrel.

This might be the final match of Jofra Archer for RR this season | IANSIn worse condition are the Rajasthan Royals, who are at the last spot in the points table, as RCB have started winning matches. RR has changed captaincy midway through the tournament from Rahane to Smith, but the fortunes remain the same. This is likely to be the last match where they have Stokes and Archer in their team and need to utilize them better to earn a win.

The match is a must-win for both the teams and it remains to be seen which team wants the win desperately.

Toss: Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bowl first.
