IPL 2019: Match 40, RR v DC – Delhi opt to bowl first in Jaipur

DC and RR both have won two matches out of last three played.

An important match sees two amazing captains come face to face | IANSThe 40th match of the IPL 2019 will be played in Jaipur between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals. Both the teams are looking to keep their winning momentum going and for RR, it is a chance to win and move up in the points table, while DC is on a roll with two wins in their last three matches.

Delhi Capitals has found a combination that is winning them games and its thanks to captain Shreyas Iyer’s captaincy and his batting, leading from the front. With veterans Ishant Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan doing their jobs perfectly, Iyer has found it easy to herd the youngsters into playing according to plans. On the top, Kagiso Rabada’s amazing bowling has given them a huge edge over others and they are looking for their playoff qualifications being almost cemented.

Rajasthan, on the other hand, changed their captain from Rahane to Smith and saw a win coming their way. Smith has a handful of games left before he, along with Stokes and Archer fly back for World Cup prep. This means RR is looking to win as many games as possible. This match against DC is a chance for them to keep their momentum going and gain some important points in the kitty.
