IPL 2019: Match 39, RCB v CSK – COC Predicted Playing XIs

Chennai and Bangalore have a storied rivalry in the IPL tournament.

AB de Villiers is slated to return to RCB team | IANSThe 39th match of the Indian Premier League 2019 will see Chennai Super Kings play Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB had lost the previous match to CSK, which was the tournament opener, where they were bowled out for 70 runs.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore have won two of their last three matches and with Virat Kohli scoring a century, their batting is finally clicking to take advantage of the Chinnaswamy track. Their bowling, however, is stuck in the same rut. But they will be glad to have AB de Villiers back in the game after missing the last game due to a minor concussion.

Also, they might include Shivam Dube to bolster their death overs batting. Dube also provides some handy medium pace bowling to help out Dale Steyn and Saini.

MS Dhoni might come back for CSK | IANSChennai Super Kings, on the other hand, suffered a big defeat at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad team as they were missing their amazing captain MS Dhoni to a back spasm. However, Dhoni was seen practicing in the Chinnaswamy Stadium and is most likely to be back in the team.

Otherwise, the team will be looking to have their in-form batting unit take advantage of the Bengaluru pitch instead. Last time these two teams met in the IPL in Bengaluru in 2018, Dhoni smacked 70 odd runs and CSK chased down a total in excess of 200 runs.

The match is something the RCB will be looking to win, while for CSK a win here will ensure them a spot in playoffs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore Predicted Playing XI:
Virat Kohli (C), Parthiv Patel (WK), AB de Villiers, Moeen Ali, Marcus Stoinis, Shivam Dube, Pawan Negi, Mohammed Siraj, Navdeep Saini, Yuzvendra Chahal, Dale Steyn

Chennai Super Kings Predicted Playing XI:
