IPL 2019: Match 39, RCB v CSK – CSK opt to bowl first in Bengaluru

CSK is ranked no.1 on points table, while RCB rests at the last spot.

AB de Villiers is set to return for RCB | IANSRoyal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings will clash in the 39th match of the IPL 2019 tournament. CSK is ranked no.1 in the points table while RCB, despite being last on the table, has won two of their last three matches.

Virat Kohli scored a century in their last match against KKR and Moeen Ali’s brilliant 66 helped them win against the Kolkata based franchise. This has given the RCB team a glimmer of hope of making it into the playoffs, despite the fact that they have to win every match from here on. With Dale Steyn joining the bowling ranks, things have become interesting for the franchise, as their attack has suddenly become a bit potent. The team will play at their home ground and look to put one over CSK, which had defeated them the last time they met at this venue.

Dhoni is back for CSK | IANSMS Dhoni returns for CSK in this match after his back spasms led him to miss the SRH encounter, which the team lost under Suresh Raina. Dwayne Bravo is also back for CSK after recovering from his injury.

AB de Villiers also makes a comeback after missing the previous game for RCB due to a mild concussion.

Winning the toss is important here in Chinnaswamy and both teams have their own reasons behind gaining an upper hand.
