IPL 2019: KKR v RCB – Cricket fraternity hails Virat Kohli as his century takes RCB to 213

Virat Kohli made his fifth century in IPL.

Virat (100) and Moeen Ali (66) added 90 runs | IANSThe 35th match of the IPL 2019 saw Royal Challengers Bangalore traveling to Kolkata to take on KKR. Kolkata Knight Riders had defeated RCB in their last meeting thanks to Andre Russell. Dinesh Karthik won the toss and chose to bowl first. They went in unchanged, while RCB missed AB de Villiers due to a concussion and Dale Steyn made his RCB return after a long time.

Parthiv Patel scored 11 before Narine got him and Akshdeep Nath made 13 before Russell had his number. Then came Moeen Ali to join Virat Kohli and the duo added 90 runs to give impetus to RCB innings. Ali went for 28-ball 66 while Kohli went on to make an amazing century, his fifth in IPL, off 57 balls with 9 fours and 4 sixes. RCB made 213/4 in 20 overs, an above par score.   

Cricket fraternity was just amazed by the spirit of Virat Kohli as his century gave hope to RCB fans of a win.
