Mumbai Indians outclassed Delhi Capitals in all departments to register a comprehensive 40-run victory in the 34th match of IPL 2019 at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium on Thursday (April 18).

Although the game was completely one-sided and far from interesting, there were some funny moments in the match which caught everyone’s attention. One such amusing moment was seen during the third over of the first innings when DC pacer Ishant Sharma teased MI skipper Rohit Sharma.

Ishant bowled a good length delivery outside the off stump to which Rohit advanced down the track. However, the MI captain failed to connect the ball as it went through to the keeper.

Now normally that would be the end of it but Ishant on his follow-through couldn’t stop from passing a cheeky remark. Rohit was left amused by Ishant’s comment as he looked down and laughed.

Here’s the video of that incident:

Coming to the match, MI rode on Rohit, Quinton de Kock’s 57-run opening stand and Pandya brothers’ stellar cameos to post 168/5 on the board.

In reply, DC batsmen were found wanting against MI leg-spinner Rahul Chahar, who dismissed Shikhar Dhawan (35), Prithvi Shaw (20) and Shreyas Iyer (3) in quick succession. Rishabh Pant also failed to deliver under pressure as Jasprit Bumrah knocked him over for 7. Efforts put up by Akshar Patel (26) and Chris Morris (11) enabled Delhi to reach 128/9 in 20 overs, but this was much short of the target.
