Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings are currently facing each other in the 25th match of IPL 2019 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.
Set into bat first, RR got off to a terrible start as they lost half their side with just 78 runs on the board. At one stage, they were in danger of getting bowled out. However, Ben Stokes (28 off 26 balls) along with Riyan Parag and Jofra Archer stitched two little partnerships to bail the home team out of trouble.
At the fag end of the innings, it was Shreyas Gopal’s cameo that stole the limelight. Gopal (19 off 7 deliveries) in the company of Archer (13 off 12 balls) smashed CSK pacer Shardul Thakur for 18 runs in the final over to take the RR total to 151/7.
After his last over, Shardul’s bowling figures were reading 4-0-44-2. And to add salt to injury, Twitterati are making life difficult for Thakur with savage posts.
