Royal Challengers Bangalore suffered a four-wicket defeat at the hands of Delhi Capitals at Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday (April 7). It was RCB’s sixth consecutive loss in IPL 2019 and they continue to be placed at the bottom of the points table.

Besides RCB’s dismal campaign, Virat Kohli is also having a tough time with the bat. In six matches, the Bangalore skipper has amassed 203 runs with only one half-century.

"We just weren't good on the given day. That's the whole story of RCB this season," Kohli said in dejection after the match.

RCB’s losing streak prompted many fans on Twitter to call for Virat’s removal as captain.

While RCB have gone downhill under Kohli’s captaincy, Mumbai Indians under the leadership of Rohit Sharma have managed to snatch victories from the jaws of defeats on a couple of occasions. MI are currently placed at the fourth position in the points table, with 3 wins from 5 games.

Considering the way things have panned out for Virat and Rohit this season, Twitterati believe that the Mumbai skipper should lead India during the upcoming World Cup.
