Destructive Australia opener Chris Lynn is ready to go all guns blazing for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the upcoming 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019.

Lynn has been a crucial player of the KKR set-up over the years, though the explosive opener managed to play only 7 matches in 2017 due to dislocated a shoulder, made a great comeback in the last edition in 2018, having amassed 491 runs for KKR in 16 matches in IPL 2018.

The right-hander is now looking forward to once again play a crucial role for the franchise in the IPL 2019 after being secured by the KKR for hefty 9.60 crores, as they are looking for a third IPL title.

The 28-year-old, who is regarded as one of the most dangerous openers in the shortest format of the game, said he is ready to meet the expectations of KKR family, as he feels good with his body at the moment.

Lynn told India Today, “There's always expectation but I'm the hardest marker of everyone. I expect high standards of myself but the body is first and foremost and that is really good at the moment.”

He added, “I have got a job to do at the top of the order for KKR. The fans certainly put you under a little bit more pressure. But that's great; the support we get at Eden Gardens is amazing. Ready to rock and roll this year. Early momentum is important and hopefully, we can go one or two better than last year.”

Meanwhile, the Aussie batsman was also highly impressed by the KKR owners, saying win lose or draw never changes their attitude while their warmth made the franchise special.

Lynn signed off by saying, “Beauty of KKR owners.. win lose or draw they are the same person. They give the person the warmth.., Every player is going to have a good or bad day and as a player, it's so good to know - without the expectations of win, win, win.”
