The 2019 season of the Indian Premier League will be the twelfth edition of this popular T20 league. The IPL 12 will kick off in Chennai on March 23 where the defending champions Chennai Super Kings will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Total eight teams Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kings XI Punjab, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals (previously Delhi Daredevils) will take part in IPL 2019.
Sunrisers Hyderabad made their IPL debut in 2013 and they went on to play playoffs in their first season itself but next two seasons (2014 and 2015) were disappointing as they failed to qualify for the playoffs but made a great comeback in 2016 under the leadership of David Warner and clinched their first ever IPL title.
In 2017 also they reached playoffs and in 2018 they finished as runners-up after losing to Chennai Super Kings in the final. So their overall performance in Indian Premier League has been good and they'll be eying their second IPL championship in 2019. And here is a look at Sunrisers Hyderabad's IPL journey in numbers -
