After touched down in Hyderabad on Saturday, 16 March, David Warner has penned down an emotional post on his official social media handle for his Indian Premier League (IPL) family, thanked Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Orange Army fans for their loyal support during his tough time.

Warner had to miss the IPL 2018 following his role in the infamous ball-tempering scandal in South Africa last year, and was handed a 12-months suspension for the same by Cricket Australia along with Steve Smith -which is set to expire on March 30, 2019.

However, the CA has released Smith (Rajasthan Royals) and Warner early to play for their respective IPL franchises from the first week of the tournament on March 23, while the duo has joined the preparatory camp of their respective IPL franchises this weekend.

Taking to micro-blogging platform Twitter on Saturday, 17 March, Warner has expressed his delight to rejoin the Orange Army after landing Hyderabad, as he gears up to prove himself again by making his bat do the talking in the upcoming IPL 2019.

Warner also thanked the franchise and fans for their loyal support during the toughest period of his cricketing career over the past 12 months.

His post reads, “Great to be back here in Hyderabad with @SunRisers I can’t thank the franchise and fans enough for your loyal support over the last 12months. Time to get back into it.”

Noteworthy, Warner, who bagged the orange cap for his 641 runs in just 14 matches in the IPL 2017, has 4014 runs at 40.54 in his 114 outings to his name with three centuries and 36 half-centuries in the popular T20 event over the years.
