The schedule for the first two weeks of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 is out and before the franchises could clash on the field, they have already started the off-field banter. Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) will play each other on March 25 in their opening encounter of this season.
The first game for Punjab will be an away game, means they Rajasthan is going to host them in Jaipur. The R Ashwin-led side has 'not so impressive' record in Jaipur and that's where they were crushed by the Royals in the banter game on Twitter.
Sharing the schedule, Punjab tried to poke fun at Rajasthan. They warned them of the threat their side posses. "Feeling Pink aren't we, @rajasthanroyals? Let's hope an encounter with us in our #IPL2019 opener doesn't leave you red-faced ????," the tweet read.
In reply, Rajasthan completely owned the banter and reminded Punjab about their record in Jaipur.
"Hey @lionsdenkxip, we’ll save you the blushes, considering you've never won in Jaipur. History is quite comforting, isn't it? ???? #HallaBol," RR wrote in reply.
The first game of the IPL 2019 will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore on March 23.
