Mohit Sharma is back with Chennai Super Kings after the franchise won the bid for him in the auction for INR 5 crores. Mohit said he feels like he belongs to CSK. The Indian pacer has played three seasons for Chennai, from 2013-15, which includes a season where he won the Purple Cap.

In 47 matches for Super Kings, he has picked up 54 wickets. He has an economy of 7.75 with the ball for the franchise.

Mohit will be returning to the franchise after playing for Kings XI Punjab. “CSK is like a homecoming for me. I might have played for another team (Kings XI Punjab) in the past three years but I was always known to be a CSK boy. That bonding and the culture which CSK have developed in the team will always be special. The MS Dhoni factor has always been there. The way he handles his players and understands their strengths and weaknesses makes a lot of difference. He has taught me how to walk on the cricket field,” Mohit said.

Mohit has a number of variations in his bowling. He said it is important to know when to use the variations. "All the bowlers now have variations. It has become a must in international cricket. Especially with the advent of T20s, bowlers have become smarter and are thinking more about their craft. But what matters is how, when and against whom you are using those variations. So you need to know your strength and use it accordingly. The key is to keep sharpening the variations which are already in your armory,” the pacer said.

India has a good bunch of youngsters who are lethal with the ball. That makes the competition tough for Mohit. But he is game for the challenge. “I have played against Deepak Chahar and Shardul and we know each other really well. I feel the success of one will motivate the other to put in that extra yard,” he said.
