Veteran India batsman Yuvraj Singh was the talk of the town after he was left out of the Kings XI Punjab squad in the Indian Premier League Season 11. With fans doubting whether he would be able to find a bid in the IPL 2019 Auction on Tuesday, Yuvraj went unsold in the Round 1 and got a lifeline in the second round as Mumbai Indians fetched him for his base price of Rs 1 crore.

Soon after the bid, Yuvraj took to Twitter to give a shout to Rohit Sharma. The southpaw wrote: "I am glad to be part of the @mipaltan family, looking forward for the season to begin. See u soon @ImRo45"

Responding to Yuvi’s tweet, MI skipper Rohit welcomed the stylish left-hander to the "city of heroics".

With just 65 runs in 8 matches for Kings XI Punjab last season, Yuvraj clearly looked past his best and wasn't even considered as a reliable option in the majority of the matches.

Yuvraj hasn't featured much in domestic cricket this season and has been out of the national reckoning for more than a year now. In IPL 2019, with Mumbai Indians, he would be hoping to revive his career by getting some runs under his belt.
