Manoj Tiwary has vented out his disappointment after not being picked by any of the eight franchises at the IPL auction in Jaipur on Tuesday (December 18).

Taking to Twitter, Tiwary posted the images of his previous IPL performances with trophies and questioned what he did wrong to not be considered for bid by any team.

“Wondering wat (what-sic) went wrong on my part after getting Man of a match award wen (when-sic) I scored a hundred 4 (for-sic) my country and got dropped for the next 14 games on a (the-sic) trot ?? Looking at d (the-sic) awards which I received during 2017 IPL season, wondering wat (what-sic) went wrong???” Tiwary wrote in the caption.

On Wednesday (December 19), Tiwary further addressed the fans on Twitter and expressed his gratitude for the constant support. He also shared a message for his critics.

“Really appreciated the fact that U al have shown so much love nd care through ur replies to my last tweet. Still I cannot digest that fact that I won’t be part of IPL 2019 this coming season but I know that’s the reality in which I have to live now and move on from hereand keep focusing on the things which I can control,” Tiwary wrote in a lengthy post on Twitter.

“And to the ones who al have only criticized me, I request you to first get into my shoe nd than start making such comments for me. The experiences which I have gone through I don’t think anyone has gone through it and I will open up about it later in my future for sure or may be earlier,” he added.

Having made his international debut in 2008, Tiwary has represented India in 12 ODIs and 3 T20Is thus far. In spite of his match-winning ODI ton against West Indies in 2012, Manoj was never given a consistent run to prove his mettle.

In IPL 2017, Tiwary had played a vital role in Rising Pune Supergiants’ journey to the final. In 15 matches, the right-hander had scored 324 runs at an average of 32.40 with a strike rate of 137.28. But in IPL 2018, he played only 5 games for Kings XI Punjab after being roped in for a price of INR 1 crore. He managed to score only 47 runs with the bat in the limited opportunities last season.

As far as Manoj Tiwary’s overall record in IPL is concerned – he has played 98 matches for four different franchises, scoring 1695 runs at an average of 28.73 and a strike-rate of 116.98. Tiwary has also aggregated seven fifties in the cash-rich league.
