Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) has hinted about the players they might go for in the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction which is set to be held at Jaipur on December 18. KXIP's official Twitter account shared an article where they opened up about their choices.

Former New Zealand explosive batsman Brendon McCullum has been marked by Kings XI. Earlier, McCullum was part of Chennai Super Kings (2014-15) franchise before joining Gujarat Lions (2016-17) and the Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2018. He had started his IPL career with Kolkata Knight Riders. It was him who gave IPL a grand opening with his 158* in the first ever game of the cash-rich league.

Apart from McCullum, KXIP is eyeing Windies youngster Shimron Hetmyer who was impressive with the bat earlier this year when West Indies toured India.

Not only the foreign players, but there are also some Indians as well who may feature for KXIP in next season. Jaydev Unadkat, who was bought by Rajasthan Royals last year for a whopping 11.5 crores is also in the wishlist with Wriddhman Saha and Akshar Patel. Sunrisers Hyderabad released Saha, while Kings XI themselves let Akshar go during the recent IPL retention.
