Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir, who played a major role in Kolkata Knight Rider's IPL triumphs, has left everyone guessing with his recent conversation with IPL franchise Kings XI Punjab. Gambhir announced retirement from cricket earlier this month saying it's over for him now.
After the southpaw decided to quit cricket, India's cricket fraternity thanked him for his contribution. KXIP too had tweeted for Gambhir. The cricketer responded to their tweet out of nowhere on Tuesday, almost after a week.
"Thanks, team red for making it special. Let’s meet soon...@BCCI @BCCIdomestic," he wrote. On which, the franchise replied, "It is our pleasure. Waiting to see you cheer for our lions from the stands of the den! @GautamGambhir."
Their conversation gave everyone a hint that Gambhir may get signed as a coach for the Kings XI Punjab franchise. It's not clear yet. This is what Twitter started speculating as soon as Gambhir dropped his reply.
