The Delhi Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, that was previously known as Delhi Daredevils, today on December 4, announced a change in their name. They will now be known as Delhi Capitals and also revealed a new logo.

The event was headlined by JSW’s Parth Jindal and GMR’s KK Grandhi, who unveiled the new logo along with the new name.

The Delhi franchise underwent a lot of change in management before 2018 IPL and saw a new coach in Ricky Ponting and also saw Shreyas Iyer take up the captaincy in mid-season after resignation from Gautam Gambhir.

Now the Delhi Capitals have decided to continue with Shreyas Iyer as captain and announced the same during their event in Delhi.
