With the IPL player transfer window open, teams have been actively trading players with other franchises and offloading unnecessary baggage.

One of the biggest names to have surfaced in the transfer window is on Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Shikhar Dhawan.

As first reported by Mumbai Mirror on October 21, Sunrisers Hyderabad was in talks with Mumbai Indians, Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Daredevils to trade an unhappy Dhawan. However, nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

The Kings XI management had come close to signing him up on Friday and they had apparently informed even the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) but the negotiations have fallen through at the last minute.

Now the Delhi Daredevils franchise led by JSW group is reportedly offering more money to Dhawan, who was brought by SRH for Rs 5.2 crore in the auction. The KXIP franchise offered a crore of rupees more to Dhawan and even offered to trade Karun Nair for him, but as per reports, Delhi has placed an even higher bid.

We’ve not traded Shikhar. We may even keep him, we will see,” an SRH official confirmed to Mirror.
