Bhuvneshwar Kumar's troubles with injuries continue as the experienced swing bowler has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series against West Indies, as per a report in Sportstar. Bhuvneshwar reportedly injured his groin during the T20I series, after he made a comeback to the Indian team for the first time in five months since the World Cup in England.

'Bhuvi' as he is fondly called, has battled various injuries in the last couple of years, and the latest setback raises question marks on the treatment and rehab he underwent at National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

With Navdeep Saini not completely match-fit, and Khaleel Ahmed being a disappointment despite multiple opportunities at the international level, selectors have gone back to Shardul Thakur of Mumbai. Thakur himself has been in and out of the team since the time he first played for India in 2017.

India had earlier replaced opener Shikhar Dhawan with Mayank Agarwal and now the latest injury of Bhuvneshwar will be a setback to the Virat Kohli-led side which is also missing ace fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and all-rounder Hardik Pandya.
