India will be playing West Indies in the second game of the ongoing three-match T20I series this Sunday (December 8) in Thiruvananthapuram.

Virat Kohli & company won the high-scoring Hyderabad T20I by six wickets and will be hoping to settle the matter, taking an unassailable 2-0 series lead with a game to spare.

Meanwhile, even though he hasn't been finding a place in the playing XI, there seems to be a lot of excitement surrounding the prodigiously talented Sanju Samson.

The 25-year-old previously turned up for India in Zimbabwe in a T20I  in Harare during the 2015 tour of the African nation. But hasn't played since, going through a period of struggle at the domestic level and only occasionally showing off his class for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League.

The fortunes changed this year when on the back of runs for RR, India A and for his state Kerala in the premier domestic List A tournament Vijay Hazare Trophy, Sanju was drafted back into the senior team squad for the series against Bangladesh and later picked up for the one versus West Indies with Shikhar Dhawan ruled out due to injury.

Moving on to the present day then, Samson enjoyed a hero-like reception on arrival back home in Kerala as he boarded the team bus last night at the airport. Those were lovely scenes as he smiled and waved back at the crowd that was there to get a glimpse of the youngster and the rest of his teammates.
