India's limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma was trending on Twitter despite his failure with the bat on Friday. The first T20I between India and West Indies was a run-fest and usually, we don't see Rohit missing out on scoring on flat tracks. But he failed and got out for just 8 runs off 10 balls.
But the Indian opener had already given a topic to tweet for fans in the West Indies innings. Rohit showed unbelievable fielding efforts that fans couldn't stop talking about. Although everything came back to normal in just minutes after he dropped an easy catch.
A jaw-dropping boundary save and then another on the next ball made fans respond to the haters who mock Rohit for his fitness. However, they had to take it easy when he dropped Kieron Pollard at long-on. He let the ball go through his hands and the ball went past the ropes.
West Indies posted a huge total of 207 runs in the first innings. But it wasn't enough for them to win the game after Virat Kohli stepped up when it matters, one more time. His unbeaten 94 gave India a 1-0 lead in three-match T20I series.
