India spin twins Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal famously known as ‘Kul-Cha’ bowled really well together for almost two years. But due to inconsistent form in 2019, Chahal’s mate Kuldeep has taken a backseat.

While talking to Sportstar, the 29-year-old Chahal said that even though he enjoyed bowling with Kuldeep in tandem, as a professional cricketer it is his job to perform in any situation.

I played with Kuldeep for two years as a pair and there was a good bonding with him. I enjoyed bowling with him as we had a great understanding. But now that he is focusing on Tests, I am bowling with Jaddu (Ravindra Jadeja), Krunal (Pandya) and Rahul Chahar,” Chahal said.

When asked about the challenge of bowling with other bowlers, the leg-spinner said, “It’s a good challenge, so I would not say that there’s any pressure. As a professional player, you need to perform in every situation and I am just trying to continue whatever I did in the last two years.

It has been a good learning experience for me because after two years, I am suddenly bowling with different people,” Chahal added.

Chahal who was out of the T20I team following World Cup 2019, missed the T20I series against West Indies and South Africa and featured in just one ODI in the West Indies before returning for the Bangladesh T20I series.

Thus, it will be interesting to see how the leg-spinner performs in the upcoming three-match T20I and three-match ODI home series against West Indies.
