India continued their dominance over West Indies in the T20I format as well and sealed the three-match T20I series as they beat the visitors by 71 runs in the second T20I game at Lucknow and went 2-0 up in the series with one match to go.

After being asked to bat first, Indian openers gave a good start to their team and 123 runs for the opening wicket. Rohit Sharma's record fourth T20I hundred (111* off 61 balls) helped India to post a total of 195/2 in 20 overs.

In reply West Indies once again kept losing wickets regularly and eventually could manage only 124 runs for the loss of 9 wickets and suffered a 71 runs defeat. Rohit Sharma was named Man of the Match.
