India and West Indies will face each other in the third ODI of the five-match series at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. India leads the series 1-0 with a win in Guwahati and the tied match in Vizag.

West Indies is on a roll thanks to some spirited batting display by Shimron Hetmyer and Shai Hope, who almost won the match for them in the second ODI, keeping India behind them in the task to win. Only a spirited penultimate over by Shami and then a sliced four off the last ball by Hope tied an interesting match.

However, with that tied match, BCCI took some extreme steps and have brought in some muscle in the bolwing department, namely adding Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah in the Indian squad and resting Mohammad Shami. Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar are known for their top-notch bowling both at the start and in death overs. Windies batting have a task at hand facing these two talented bowlers.

Indian batting, on the other hand, is looking peachy with Rayudu too chipping in with some runs. Only problem is the inconsistency of Shikhar Dhawan who is yet to make a big score in the series. Bowling wise India sits pretty and unless spinners have to bowl second with dew; Windies might have some problems against the Indian bowlers.

The team winning this match will have a great chance to press the advantage in the two upcoming ODIs.
